About Us

Our Story

Our founder, Monica Kirk, grew up in Springtown, TX. She then went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Taxation. After many years of practicing as a CPA, she decided in October 2015 to bring her business back to her hometown. Now her firm is practicing right in the heart of Springtown, TX, conveniently located on the Square. All of us at Monica Kirk, CPA, take great pride in our community and are committed to helping the individuals and small businesses grow within it.

MEET THE CPAs

Monica Kirk, CPA

Founder

Monica Kirk has over 20 years of accounting experience and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Taxation. From there, she began pursuing her career in public accounting, working for a wide range of industries such as oil and gas, farming, real estate, construction, and many more.

Daniel Byrum, CPA

Tax Manager

Daniel Byrum was hired in 2018 and serves as the tax manager at Monica Kirk, CPA, PC. He has been in public accounting since 2004 and a licensed CPA since 2007. Daniel’s previous experience includes 9 years at a large regional firm and about 4 years at one of the Big 4. His client focus includes real estate, oil and gas, manufacturing, and everything in between. He enjoys living on a little bit of land with his wife and 4 children.
